Meet Umea

Umea is a cute, playful and confident kitty. She loves to play with toys and other cats and go on adventures (stroller/sling walks, out for ice cream). She was found with an upper respiratory infection (most likely feline herpes) which caused an ulcer in her eye which healed with treatment of multiple eye drops and oral medication but left permanent scaring in her eye. It does not affect her vision or daily function. Her eye will always be runny and her eyelid over her eye. She has seen Optometrists at the Vet college at the University and will need a recheck in 5-9 months or sooner if any complications. She is at risk of flare up of her herpes which presents as an upper respiratory infection. She currently has an upper respiratory infection and has to be on oral antibiotics twice a day and eye drops three times a day. She is such a special kitty and that needs an adopter that can give extra love, medical attention and care.
