TNRM Program

The Linda Gubbe TNRM Program

Named after one of our founders Linda Gubbe, SCAT offers a TNRM (Trap, Neuter/Spay, Release, Maintain) program that allows unowned cats living on properties outside of Saskatoon to safely be sterilized, vaccinated and returned to a property owner who will be able to provide ongoing care. This program works to reduce the number of unfixed cats living outside, and to maintain health and wellness for existing cats.

To apply for the program, please answer all questions in this link:

SCAT TNRM Program Questionnaire

Cats that are approved for the program are brought to the SCAT office on a Monday, and go for vet appointments on Tuesday. They are given a wellness exam, spayed/neutered, tattooed, dewormed, and vaccinated against rabies. Cats recover and are monitored at the SCAT office, and are generally ready to be picked up on Friday.

Any cats that are old enough to be spayed/neutered will return back to the property, unless they are discovered to have a medical condition that makes them not suitable for outdoor kitty life. All female cats will be spayed regardless of potential pregnancy status. Any kittens that are too young to be returned (under 4 months old) will be taken into foster care and adopted out through SCAT's adoption program.

Our subsidized prices are listed below:
0-9 cats: $55 each
10-15 cats: $500 flat rate
16-20 cats: $750 flat rate
20+: $1000 flat rate
SCAT covers all of the additional costs beyond these prices.

The TNRM program is made possible by donations, fundraising and our dedicated volunteers! To continue these programs, we rely on ongoing support and we are always looking for more people to get involved. Please visit our Donation link and Get Involved links to see how you can help.
