Making an Intake Request for a Stray or Owned Cat

Stray/Abandoned Cats

Before we are able to look to bring a lost, stray, or abandoned cat into our program, we do require that you contain the animal and seek an owner for a minimum of 5 business days. Without confirming the following steps, we would be unable to move forward.

  1. Have you taken them to a veterinary clinic to be scanned for a microchip?

  2. Have you filed a found report with Saskatoon Animal Control Agency, posted to kijiji, and/or lost and found groups on Facebook? Please provide us with links/screen shots of these postings. (see below)

  3. In the case of known abandonment, have you filed an abandonment report with your local agency? (In addition to filing a found report/advertising)

Our foster placements tend to fill up quickly, in this event we run a wait list to bring cats into our program.

*To ensure there is no transmission of illness or parasites we recommend that you keep the cat contained in a separate room, away from other animals.*

*If you are submitting a request for an owned cat on a mobile device scroll down to the next form.

Owned Cats

We prioritize stray cats and are only able to help with owned animals when foster space and resources allow. Please click here for helpful suggestions on rehoming your cat.

We request a donation of $400 per unaltered/unfixed cat, or $200 per spayed/neutered cat. If you are unable to contribute this amount/if this amount is a barrier, please still submit the form for consideration.

If you are submitting a request for an owned cat you must be the legal owner or have legal authority to do so in the case of the cat of a deceased person or person relocating to non pet-friendly housing.
