Meet Rapunzel

Rapunzel is a small cat, with a large personality. She has a beautiful deep grey soft coat. She loves to play, and will entertain herself tossing and chasing a ball. In the house, she likes to be where her person is. As renovators have come and gone, she comes with me to inspect their work, without them aware that she is there.
On a daily basis, she greets me at the door, and she answers to her name. She likes to watch me when I am working at the kitchen counter, so I have set up a stool for her to observe from. Constant patient reinforcement is needed to convince her to get on her stool and stay there, rather than get onto the counter (she likes to supervise closely.)
Rapunzel is good with my large dog, but lets her know what is appropriate behaviour. They get along well when both are resting. One day, when the dog was anxious, Rapunzel groomed her, which helped to calm the dog.
Rapunzel has learned much in the time she has been with me: her name, and what “get onto your stool” means. We are working on handy skills such as “shake a paw”. She has learned that biting is not appreciated, but needs gentle reinforcement that this is not part of a game. When playing with me (or my feet under the covers), she always keeps her claws in. But, do not try to give her a pill. That will bring her claws out.
My grandchildren are good with cats, and now that Rapunzel knows them, she will play with them until she is panting from exhaustion.
Rapunzel would be best with a person with regular hours, who likes to spend time at home, and who enjoys a cat that adores them. Rapunzel will learn the meanings of words through ongoing conversations in appropriate contexts. If your life includes stress, Rapunzel would be a lovely cat to come home to.
