Meet Hurray

"My name's Hurray and I have something to say! Do you have a kitty who needs to be washed? I mean REALLY WASHED? I'm your girl! Especially the ears. I love a good ear. I also like to chew zippers, so watch your coats. Fair warning.

So like... humans are fine. I might sit on you... when I decide to! When I was younger, all I heard was "she's too small for her age", "she's slow to develop", "here's some yucky medicine" and other boring things. But now I'm super healthy, growing, and spayed! I've been hitting development milestones at my own pace, and that's just fine. :)

And I love to play! My best friends are kittens who can pounce and jump and wrestle all day long. Big cats are nice too as long as they let me goof around. I do best with other fun kitties in my life. I'm not big on the only cat lifestyle thing."

Hurray was around 6-6.5 weeks old on intake but was almost half the size of her littermates, who went to a different foster. She had a bad UTI that took a few rounds of antibiotics to clear. She also had mild upper resp, but despite those difficulties, she has been very resilient and otherwise healthy. She has been slow to develop - her eyes didn't even start to change colour until she was about 11 weeks old, for example. She just hit her physical and mental developmental milestones slowly, and while she'll probably always be a relatively small cat, she's in great shape. She does really well with other social kittens as she leans on them pretty hard for learning... like, obviously all kittens do, but she especially does. She was spayed as the vet was concerned her UTI may have been an indication of something internal, but as far as I know it wasn't. HURRAY!
