Meet Candy
Candy is a sweet girl, but she is shy with new people and new environments. She will follow you until you take time to play with her. She likes to sleep with you and the other cats on your bed. She has excellent eating and toilet manners.
Candy’s favourite thing is dry catnip - licking and rolling in it. She tilts her head when you talk with her, when she is trying to figure out human conversation. This girl is smart! When playing bounce with balls, you ask if she is “ready,” and she is up the stairs in a glance to jump at the ball to catch.
Candy was not used to a home and people until July 2025. She is now comfortable with petting and conversation with humans and loves foster folks who give her love, play with her and feed her regularly. She has fit in with other older cats, does not scratch, bite or hiss at anyone. She will meow when hungry. She has not progressed to being picked up and being cuddled as of yet, but she has had great gains with humans and loves her scratches and petting and purrs. She dislikes being confined in a cage.
