Meet Juniper Berry
Juniper Berry is a beautiful, sweet, and happy cat who will make a wonderful addition to (virtually) any household. She came to SCAT (with her presumed daughter, Jinx) a bit shy and skeptical of people after living her first two years outside. Now that she's experienced living the good life indoors, she frequently seeks out foster mom for affection. This girl is a lover at heart, and is going to make some person/family an amazing companion.
She still has tons of kitten energy, playing, chasing and roughhousing with Jinx, zooming around the house with the resident kitties, and getting into (harmless) shenanigans. She does occasionally get a little spicy during pets, and will grab your hand to attack it, or will attack your feet under the covers, but overall she’s pretty gentle, and she will let go when you remind her, “be gentle”. For this reason, we think she would do best with older, cat-savvy kids who can read her body language/cues, and won’t be put off by some playful nibbles.
Juniper has impeccable litter box manners (she LOVES supervising foster mom scooping the boxes), and she is easily redirected when she’s scratching something she isn’t supposed to (the key will be making sure she has lots of scratching options to discourage inappropriate scratching). She has the sweetest little meow, and her tail is so animated and expressive; check out her pics to see those adorable orange tail rings!
Ideally, Juniper Berry would be adopted along with her daughter, Jinx (find her in the kittens section, here), as they are built-in BFFs, and are constantly playing and roughhousing with each other. They are also frequently found curled up together, grooming one another, cuddling, etc; but especially in new or “scary” situations where they clearly lean on each other for emotional support/safety. However it is possible they could be adopted separately, as they both have independent traits at times as well, and they get along with all the cats they’ve met so far.
