Meet Sardine
Sardine came into SCAT's care as a kitten but still isn't 100% sure about humans yet; however, seems to think they are okay as long as they aren't trying to catch or touch him. Sardine is an energic, young cat who loves to play. He loooovvveess catnip (yes, all the extra letters are required) and is a big fan of catnip toys. He enjoys a good chase of the red dot he can't seem to quite catch from the laser pointer and pouncing on the battery-powered flopping fish. Sardine also loves a good meat tube treat, so much so that he will forget he doesn't like human touch and will happily lick meat tube off fingers.
Sardine has great litterbox habits but has a few quirks such as liking to test the water in his bowl with his paw first and then flicking it to splatter paint the the floor. Sometimes, he is so enthusiastic about testing the water, he upends the bowl (foster mom suggests a simple mat with an edge like a small boot mat to solve his attempts at washing the floor). Sardine enjoys the topmost tier of the cat tower as well as window ledges, so if his forever home could have some places high up with a good view, he would very much appreciate this.
He seems to be the most brave around humans when his foster mom's resident cat is around. Sardine would enjoy a feline companion who would be up for playing chase and help him realize people aren't so scary. As of now, he doesn't seem to want to snuggle with either cat or human.
