Meet Rafaella (forever foster)
From Rafaella’s foster mom:
Rafaella, called Ella or Ellabella by her foster mom, is such an unusual little thing. She came to from a hoarder’s situation. She was emaciated, just a skeleton, scared of everything and everyone, it took weeks/months for her to even leave the room she was in. Ella eventually came around, snuggling and purring (she has an amazing purr).
Ella gradually put on weight and looks like a totally different cat from when she first came to SCAT. Her appetite is very good now, unfortunately her previous eating habits/diet has left or contributed to an incredibly sensitive stomach and she throws up regularly. She is on special food but nothing has really changed or helped. She is, however, in good spirits and maintains a good weight. She also had a terrible time with her teeth and has only 3 left, she manages to eat though. She has had several teeth extraction operations.
Ella has had many health issues as mentioned above. She’s been through so much, and upheaval is not good for her. She likes things to stay the same and she’s happy and playful. Her foster family love her so much and are happy for her to see out her days with them.
*Rafaella is not available for adoption and will live out the rest of her life in her foster home under the care of SCAT.
