Listing Your Foster Kitty
We ask that all fosters try and get photos and a brief personality description within 10-14 days of taking in their new foster cat or kitten (as soon as their quarantine is up). We can always add more pictures and update the description later.
The only reason we would delay listing is if they are extremely feral or have serious ongoing medical issues that require further investigation.
If you have a kitten born in care or that is an orphan then we go with the schedule:
List at 5 weeks of age
Meet and greets start at 6 weeks of age
Update pictures at 7 weeks (and then every 2-3 weeks until adopted)
Foster Cat Bio Questionnaire
Please fill out this form to the best of your abilities. Writing a complete and informative/interesting bio is a great way you can help your foster find their furever home. Here are some sample bios for inspiration!
Once this form is completed, send 3-7 (please send no more than 7) of your favourite photos (.jpeg or .png files) of your foster to foster@streetcat.ca and contact@streetcat.ca. Please rename the FILE NAME of the photo to match your foster kitty (ex: Whiskers1, Whiskers2, etc.) Please check out these video tutorials if you are unsure how to do it. This saves time when getting them listed and makes sure we don’t mix anyone up especially if you have similar looking kittens.
Check out this article if your iphone is taking pictures in .heic mode
Please don’t put text or names ON the photos.
