Meet Washtub Bass
To make a washtub bass, you gotta put a hole in the washtub--and this Washtub Bass knows all about that. This brave boy has lost the tips of his ears, half of his tail, and one of his back feet to frostbite, but he doesn't let that slow him down! Washtub Bass (or Washtub/Tubs/Tubby/the WB....) is a spirited young man that loves cuddling, playing, and exploring. Washtub settled immediately into his foster home, and has met every new situation face on--from loud, jumpy puppies to house parties!
Unlike his foster siblings, Washtub actually plays with the toys purchased for him! Not just trash! He loves batting at his ball-track toys, chasing cat-nip filled stockings around the house, and especially holding and kicking his stuffies before a good power nap. Once he has worn himself out, Washtub Bass loves to be cuddled up with people, purring and making biscuits.
Washtub is well-behaved when left alone, but if he is by himself for a long time he WILL demand extra snuggles and attention as compensation. Washtub Bass has excellent litterbox manners, but is working on knowing where he is allowed to jump and what he is allowed to scratch. He responds well to correction, but he is a bold kitty who wants to be where his people are--including the kitchen counter.
I cannot say enough good things about this sweet, happy little man. His good looks are undeniable (amber eyes, half-and-half nose, sweet little stumpy foot & tail), but he is so much more than that. While in quarantine, every time I fed him he ignored his food until he had gotten some serious snuggles in. Even the very first meal I gave him--he appreciated the cuddles, love, and safety as much or more than the food.
Think he's too good to be true? Apply to meet him for yourself, and see how Washtub Bass could be an INSTRUMENTAL part of your home!
