Zoh

Zoh

My name is Zoh. I was born and raised on the streets in Saskatoon. I got pregnant at a very young age, possibly during my first heat. I gave birth to 4 babies under a shed where a nice man trapped us and took us to SCAT. This is when we went to a warm and loving foster home where I was able to safely raise my babies until they went to their forever homes. SCAT and our foster made sure we were fed well and got all the vet checkups, including our shots, and even my spay. That’s right, no more babies for me!! Once my babies were gone and all the attention went from them to me, that’s when the real work started. You see, I was always taught to run and hide from humans and loud noises. I was deathly afraid of EVERYTHING. My fosters worked really hard to show me that they can give really good pets and cuddles, even if I was less than thrilled. They are smart though, they figured out that I will put up with anything for those yummy meat tubes. I try to hide how happy I am but my super loud purr motor totally gives me away. I have this really awesome bed that is my safe spot. Even though I am not a fan of being picked up or carried, when I am in that bed you can take me anywhere.
I definitely still run and hide when I need alone time or if I am scared but that is getting less and less. I still need a lot of patience from my humans as it takes me a long time to warm up to things. I am what they call “timid”. I do like my foster cat brother, we get along well. I do NOT like my foster dog sister! She’s very big and scary! The little foster humans in the house are ok too. I let them pet me and stuff but I do not like when they get too loud. My fosters say my only bad habit is eating house plants but since they planted me my own cat grass I just eat that instead.
If you have patience and don’t mind me just doing my own thing for a while I promise one day I will be your best friend. I will lay on your legs when you sleep. I will let you know when I am in the mood for some attention. I will entertain you with my kitten like playfulness. The best part, you can feel good about yourself giving me the best life I could have ever dreamed. Call SCAT to meet me. Now… go call them!!
