Rise is a sweet and friendly but timid little girl. She is light on her feet and a very polite, clean and quiet cat. Most times she goes unnoticed she is so quiet. Rise naps hard but also plays hard. When she hears the bell from her feather wand she is halfway in the tunnel waiting to play. This girl would probably do best in a quieter household. While she is still a little hissy with her foster brother (he doesn’t give her much space) she will play with him and they’ve been caught sleeping on the same bed. She would do well with a cat friend.
Rise has Feline Leukemia (FeLV), which is not cancer but a lifelong virus that supresses the immune system and can be spread between cats through casual contact (grooming, sharing water/food dishes/litter boxes). As it can result in a shorter lifespan and medical issues later in life we do not adopt out FeLV cats into homes with other cats- but it does not affect other species, and cats with FeLV can cohabit with dogs, birds, lizards, children etc. FeLV cats need patient owners with big hearts who are willing to monitor their health and understand that while their time together may not be as long it will still be filled with love and very rewarding.
