Lolita is a big lap cuddler and will sit in a lap for a long time. Her coat and tail is thick and fluffy and she lets her foster mom brush her to keep it tangle-free. She is gentle, purrs quietly and gazes up while sitting in a lap. Lolita is a spunky and spirited kitty who would love to explore and run. Lolita loves her iPad games and takes it over from her foster mom all the time, she even got to play the game on the big TV once and found that to be quite fun! She still runs and hides when there’s new people/strange sounds but is very loving with people she is comfortable with!
Special needs: Although she appears healthy, Lolita has tested positive for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). FeLV is not cancer but a lifelong virus that suppresses the immune system and can be spread between cats through casual contact (grooming, sharing water/food dishes/litter boxes). As it can result in a shorter lifespan and medical issues later in life, we do not adopt out FeLV cats into homes with other cats- but it does not affect other species, and cats with FeLV can cohabit with dogs, birds, lizards, children etc. FeLV cats need low stress homes and patient owners with big hearts who are willing to monitor their health and understand that while their time together may not be as long, it will still be filled with love and be very rewarding.
Estimated date of birth of Lolita is October 30, 2014.
