The sweetheart known as Rapid (sometimes Rapid Kitty) has made quite the turnaround in a few short months. Trapped by SCAT in February he had some anxiety and was scared initially. Trying as hard as he could to get out of his cage, attempting to throw himself through a window and swiping at anyone who came near. After much love and patience from some amazing fosters he has made a complete turnaround! As well as the help of a low dose of medication to help his anxiety which we expect he would be weaned off once settled into his forever home.
These days he can be found cuddled up, climbing his foster for head boops, kisses and constant snuggles. He sleeps in the big bed with another cat and smaller dog. While he doesn’t play with the other animals he is not afraid to be near and will lay right beside them. Initially he wouldn’t play with any toys. These days he loves string toys, catnip filled bunny kick toys and watching the other animals play while he meerkats. When it comes to daily household activities he is somewhere between curious and jumpy. He tried to save his foster mom from the tub by grabbing her and trying to drag her out to safety!
He has had one of his front teeth removed which sometimes catches and makes for silly adorable faces. Not to mention his adorable short legs and tail. Which he seems to almost wag all the time! He hasn’t met any kids but may do better without small children as he can get spooked sometimes.
