Evelyn was taken into SCATs program in February of 2017 as a heavily pregnant stray- all her babies have been adopted and we want to find a special home for her as well! In the months we have known her we have found that she is tiny but fierce- sometimes she becomes quite anxious or overstimulated (I am sure many people can relate!) and on occasion this leads to her biting quite hard when people don’t read her signs, which can be subtle but her foster can talk to you about them.
She needs to be in a home where all the members can read cat body language to notice when she is getting spicy and let her have time to decompress, so a home with kids is not recommended. Aside from the occasional periods of overstimulation she is a lovely chatty lady who loves pets and people, and can have bouts of playfulness. She is currently living with other cats but picks on the more submissive one when she gets the jump on her so if she was to go into a home with other pets they would need to know how to stand up for themselves or enjoy the occasional chase.
Evelyn is listed as special needs as she is on an anxiety medication to help her relax and be less spicy and it helps her quite a bit. They are relatively inexpensive and should not be a deterrent to adopting for the majority of adopters!
Estimated date of birth of Evelyn is January 25, 2015.
