Brees Bees was a found Dad cat. Of all the family rescued, he had never been seen before and was the most beat up. In fact he is FIV positive so is immune compromised and requires very regular vet check-ups. He recently underwent dental surgery as well as his neuter and came through it all with flying colours.

Brees is very discreet and sensibly cautious, given his past, but he is also very laid-back and accepting of the good life. This life includes abundant food, warm assorted perches and no hassles. Litter box is conscientiously used and no special conditions apply.

He will hide on first meeting, but after a couple of days recognizes the provider of condition one of the good life (food, lots of it). Such providers, he likes to rub his head against and accept a large number of pets and scritches from. He can be tempted to bat at a wand or dangly toy, but otherwise does not yet get the idea of playing.

Maybe from memories of life on the street, he occasionally sings the song of the people. Or it may be especially triggered by smelling a cat food can open upstairs. Just once in a while, you can feel him vibrate with a silent purr.

So far, it seems Brees would definitely do well with those who enjoy the quiet life. When a resident cat comes down to ogle at him from afar and growl (through his lattice door), Brees is completely unreactive. He has his room and he just doesn’t care. For now at least.

Estimated date of birth is December 30, 2015.
