Andy is a sweet fellow. Even as a stray he was less timid than the other cats at the feeding station and was eating out of his caregiver's hand. He adjusted to indoor life in only a few days and discovered catnip, toys and sleeping in a soft cat bed. So life now is pretty good and he lets you know with little chirps and lots of purring. Andy is very affectionate with the people that he knows and loves having his head rubbed and chin scratched. Once that happens he will flop onto his side for a good belly rub. Then he will start to play, ever so gently - no teeth or claws. He doesn't run from new people but is cautious about letting them pet him. Andy prefers not to be picked up but does tolerate it. In time, this will be more comfortable for him too. As a younger cat, he is surprisingly less active and laid back. He has very good kitty manners and hasn't gotten into any messes or trouble. He hasn't been introduced to the other cats in the house just yet but this will be happening soon. With his strikingly good looks, he will catch someone's eye and find his forever home! Estimated date of birth is June 18, 2019.

Her ears are almost floppy and flop downwards and almost looks like a little baby yoda. She is quite playful with her siblings and would love to bond with a human companion. If you’re looking for a cuddler, Bell’s your girl for sure. She is also getting used to the big dog in her foster home. Bell loves the cat tower and cat wand.

Bo Peep is a sweet momma. It didn’t take her very long to warm up to her whole foster household. Which includes children, a large dog, and another cat. Her foster mom was very impressed how quick it took her to trust her with her and all 8 of her babies. Bo Peep will happily escape her babies to get all the head scirtches and back scratches herself. She is still getting used to the head boops but she will when she is fully comfortable with you. She likes to come greet, lean against you, and enjoy your company by sitting beside you. She has a soft meow and is a very quiet cat. Bo hasn’t snuggled with any of of the humans yet but we think it may take time for her to adjust to the right family and once all her kittens have gone to their forever homes. Loud noises are still a thing that startles her but she has adjusted really well and is getting used to loud children that have been playing around her. Bo Peep will make a really sweet quiet companion in any home.

Cinnamon Bun is a member of a group of kitties that we call the Breakfast Club. He was living in a cat colony when he was trapped, along with his friends: Dunkin, Donut, Danish, Decaf, Croissant and Cheerio. He is still nervous about people since it is the first time that he has ever been indoors, but he is very sweet and tolerant of touch. He now gladly accepts pets and scritches and will snuggle into his foster parents’ laps in front of the TV. He stays in a big cage when he is not being held because it makes him feel safe. He is still too scared to come to people on his own right now, but he will gladly give you head boops once he is in your arms. He is still learning to fully trust us, so he will need a home that is willing to give him some time to settle in and to continue to give him lots of yummy treats and cuddle sessions. He loves other kitties and tries to get their attention by chirping and purring at them until they come to greet him. You can clearly see what a handsome boy Cinnamon is! He has dark swirls along his body and stunning white markings down his face. Once this shy boy gains some confidence, he will be the most loving companion. We will be sure to update his profile as we continue to get to know his personality.

Dipper has it all: good looks, a friendly demeanor, and an intense love for attention. This sweet boy would love nothing more than to be your lap cat for the rest of his days and is very insistent when it is time for him to get his snuggles and belly rubs. When he wants attention and sees an opportunity to worm his way into your lap, he WILL take it. He will repay you with purrs and a nice tongue-bath. He doesn’t always need to be the center of your attention though. He is also content to sit by the window and watch the birds when you can’t be convinced to drop everything to be with him. Dipper has a beautiful short grey coat that he grooms meticulously. He does have some bald spots, one behind his left ear and one stretching halfway around his neck, where his fur will likely never grow back. He was likely owned in the past (and abandoned or neglected) but he hasn’t let that influence his love of people. He currently lives in a quiet home but would also enjoy the hustle and bustle of a busier home. More people = more attention paid to him! He doesn’t mind being picked up and even tolerates being held like a baby. He is a pretty vocal cat but most of the time instead of meowing, he trills and chirps. He also has to have his front paws on something (or someone) at all times which translates into a pretty cute behaviour when he is being picked up: As soon as his front paws leave the ground, he swivels his front half around to grab you (gently!) so he can hold on for dear life! He is 100% a shoulder cat. Dipper would be happy in a home with or without other cats, as long as his furever people schedule lots of time to play with him to help him burn off his energy. Alternatively, providing lots of toys for him to play with independently would also work (his favourite toy is a plastic play cube with three holes from Dollarama)! His foster thinks he could even learn to be okay with dogs. His claws and teeth only come out when he gets very riled up during play (but he is still careful!), so he would do well in a home with children as well. His fosters also think he could be an ideal companion to seniors who have lots of time and attention to give! He would adapt very quickly to a new home. He was “posturing” to and yowling at the neutered male cats in his foster home when he first met them, but seeing as he was recently neutered, that is completely normal. As time passes and the hormones get flushed out of his system, this behaviour is subsiding and should continue to until he is perfectly happy to have some guy pals to play with.

We’re looking for a very special home for a very special wee fellow. Eight Ball had a really hard start in life, he was found alone, under a trailer, only a few days old, and in rough shape. Thanks to one of our amazing volunteers who care for the teenie tiny orphans he survived…and thrived to some extent. His journey was difficult, sometimes the orphaned babycats struggle with immune issues, and Eight Ball really did. He had many trips to the vet trying to figure out why his poops wouldn’t form up (unusual even with bottle babies) which led to frequent accidents, as well as concerns about bladder infections and painful urination. We never were able to find a definitive answer as to “why”- and unfortunately sometimes there is just no specific answer and they just seem to “grow out of it” as their immune system strengthens and things seem to sorts itself out. Luckily his foster was exceedingly patient and worked with the wee boy and now it seems he has “grown out of it”, as well as been more or less trained to go to the box when requested, and that most of his issues have resolved. His pee and poop is normal now and he uses his litter box faithfully with a little encouragement from his foster mom. Of course his new home would need to be willing to deal with possible relapses, though he is quite stable now there is of course always a chance that change in environment or other stressors could result in softer stools, which may result in accidents, and they may potentially have to work with a vet to get him back on track but honestly and truly if you have a patient heart and a home that can work with him if needed - he is worth it. He is a real little character, and acts much more like a small dog than a cat. He will bond strongly to his people and engage in all their activities. He plays fetch with much enthusiasm and is always by his foster mom’s side. He can be a bit rough and tumble- with a bit more teeth and claws when excited and playing (not aggression just over excited) as solo orphans tend to be, and sometimes forgets that humans don’t appreciate it when we play with our teeth and claws- so older children who understand not to play with hands would be a better fit for him, and if they’d play fetch, or wand toy chase games with him he would more than happily oblige! He really does need a special home that is understanding, patient, and willing to take on potential vet costs if they arise (but that is also true of any adoption as any cat adopted could develop health concerns later in life that we would expect to be addressed by owners). He gets along well with other cats and people. He would be best with older children only as he sometimes uses teeth and claws when playing. Long term it may be hard to predict if he has overcome his medical issues permanently- he’s been stable for many months in his foster home. He is such an amazing little one, he will be the source of much love and companionship for his forever person- he’s a special kitten and needs a special human (or humans) to find him and make him part of their family. Estimated date of birth is August 6, 2019.

Evelyn was taken into SCATs program in February of 2017 as a heavily pregnant stray- all her babies have been adopted and we want to find a special home for her as well!  In the months we have known her we have found that she is tiny but fierce- sometimes she becomes quite anxious or overstimulated (I am sure many people can relate!) and on occasion this leads to her biting quite hard when people don’t read her signs, which can be subtle but  her foster can talk to you about them. She needs to be in a home where all the members can read cat body language to notice when she is getting spicy and let her have time to decompress, so a home with kids is not recommended. Aside from the occasional periods of overstimulation she is a lovely chatty lady who loves pets and people, and can have bouts of playfulness. She is currently living with other cats but picks on the more submissive one when she gets the jump on her so if she was to go into a home with other pets they would need to know how to stand up for themselves or enjoy the occasional chase. Evelyn is listed as special needs as she is on an anxiety medication to help her relax and be less spicy and it helps her quite a bit. They are relatively inexpensive and should not be a deterrent to  adopting for the majority of adopters! Estimated date of birth of Evelyn is January 25, 2015.

Farrah is available for a foster-to-forever home (or simply a forever home) due to her complex nature. Farrah came to SCAT in 2017 after being transferred from one of our rescue partners who had her for two years prior. Unfortunately, Farrah is a complex cat, she is very anxious and often concerned that you will poke at her and not respect her physical boundaries. As a result, she gets worked up and goes quickly to swatting/biting with little warning. That means any changes in her home, sudden movements (to her- you might not see them as that to start), and noises or smells she is unfamiliar with can set her off. As a result, she would do best in a home with only adults, and as an only cat household or one with only 1-2 cats that will give her space (she’s been bullied because she is reactive in the past). If she is able to settle into a routine and build trust in a person, she’s almost a different cat and very endearing. She was adopted once, and her new owner was completely smitten with her- unfortunately they were allergic, and it was affecting their airway. They attempted to rehome her- a family took her on with promises that they’d love her forever and let the owner know if it wasn’t working so she could seek a better placement for her- they then promptly dumped her at the SPCA in Regina keeping the supplies that she came with for their next cat (one of the reasons we require all our cats come back to rehome us rather than be rehomed on their own -  the owners heart was in the right place - but the people wanted to keep the stuff and dump the cat, so sad). Luckily her owner was able to get her back from the SPCA in Regina and bring her back into our care and she’s been waiting ever since for someone else to look past her flaws and fears and love her for the nice cat that is deep down inside her once she settles and trusts.   So, we are looking for an owner for Farrah who is willing to work with a complicated cat that when scared my bite or swat. A person (or people) who is experienced enough with cat behaviour to watch for her very subtle cues that she’s getting agitated. A person who will be patient enough to even learn her cues that she’s scared or uncomfortable- and more importantly kind and understanding enough to forgive her when her fears get the best of her. A person who has a quiet and consistent home- and will throughout the duration of her lifetime. All-in-all we are looking for a very special home- which we know is out there we just need to find them. If not you, maybe you know someone that could provide this type of home- please share her listing with them!   Farrah has been waiting a long time- and she’s a sassy to the extreme favourite of all the long-term fosters and volunteers who unfortunately have too many of their own cats to offer her the home she most deserves. Initially she will behave unlovable- we aren’t going to sugar coat it- it will do her no favours and set unrealistic expectations- because she’s so scared, but if you give her time to settle in and really work with her to learn what she’s most afraid of she can be one of the sweetest little lap cats in the world. If you think you might be able to love this girl who so deserves a happy ending after all these years please email contact@streetcat.ca for more information on being her foster-to-forever or simply forever home! Estimated date of birth is August 25, 2015.

Jerome is really starting to come out of his shell in his foster home. He seems to be grateful of his humans for helping him. He has been climbing into his foster mom's lap to purr and rub his face on her. Jerome will try to seek attention from other people in the house too, even if they don't take much notice of him. As the kids in the home are learning to be more quiet and gentle when approaching Jerome, he is starting to let them touch him. He is still very much "attention on my terms" and generally doesn't want to be bothered if he's found a cozy spot to take a nap. He will let you know if he's had enough by swatting at you so he would be best with older children or adults that don't get too pushy. Jerome is also a cat that cannot be ignored. At breakfast and dinner times, he sits in the high-traffic areas of the house and swats the legs of anyone that walks past him until he gets fed. In the evening he likes to play and will often get the zoomies. We think he would do well in any home that can respect his preference to seek attention himself. Jerome would likely do well with another cat-friendly non-timid kitty friend. It might help him finish coming around if he can observe another kitty getting lots of human attention. He did have a chance to meet another cat and seemed quite interested in being friends Special needs: Jerome has FIV, which is an immune disorder caused by a virus passed through deep bite wounds, which he likely got when he was on the streets unneutered and fighting with other unneutered males. Jerome could be adopted into a home with another cat so long as the adopter understands that there is a potential risk during the integration period should there be another cat without FIV in the home. Lassiter, or Lassie boy – has had a long road to becoming the cat he is today- trapped at 4 months old he was feral and learned that people could NOT be trusted! They were dangerous predators who he should run away from, and that helped him survive on the streets- then he went to his foster home and was taught that at least these two people, who spoke softly, and moved slowly- could be trusted. There were many other cats there and he was safe and warm- but if any stranger came around he still would head for the hills! He thought he was going to spend the rest of his life in his senior foster home, unfortunately he was young and bored and was mean to the senior foster kitties in the home (scaring them away from their litterbox) so needed to find new digs a couple years later. We tried him in one place, and he went on a hunger strike, then another but he was on high alert hissing, spitting, lunging and swatting claiming the foster’s room as his own and that wasn’t manageable for the foster (understandably). It was looking like he was never going to love anyone but his original fosters where he could no longer stay. So we took a chance and brought him- and his sister Lysette- to the SCAT Centre. May 29, 2019- they were transferred to the SCAT Centre, and given time and space. They put on the same big show, hissing, lunging, swatting, and spitting. So we ignored their naughty behaviour (as they were safely inside the socialization cage up front!) and over time they settled into the routine. Lassiter seemed more interested in us earlier than Lysette who was CERTAIN we meant them harm. Soon Lysette was hissing alone, and while he retreated to the back of the cage, he looked at people with interest instead of horror. On August 8th the Centre Manager took a chance and reached out to his curious face and he approached to give her hand a head bump- and it was all downhill from there, Lassiter was hooked. He is now a kitty that loves to love- and while sometimes he is concerned with sudden movements if you give him time he will soon be all over you giving bumps and asking for love. He has the most endearing quirk of wanting to shove his face in your armpit- “scent marking” all his new friends as safe to interact with. Lassiter is looking for a calm and established home, we are guessing he may regress a bit into a fearful “tough guy” goblin when moved until he knows that things are safe- in his most recent move to a foster home it took him just under a week to start to call out to his foster person and want to get lots of love while chirping and telling her stories. He definitely needs a safe space/room to start so he can hide until he is brave, so a patient owner is a must- but he would greatly enjoy a home where there was a lap to snuggle on when his people watched TV or read a book- and maybe a friendly cat friend to spend time with. Lassiter got along fine with the dog in his first foster home so should adjust well to another dog. Estimated date of birth is April 25, 2016.

Milan is a retired mom cat who kept her babies alive on the mean streets of Saskatoon. It was quickly discovered that while her babies were wild she was quite tame and liked the company of people. With all her kittens being adopted quickly it's Milan's turn to find a forever home where she can be a pampered baby herself. Milan is not keen on the resident cats in her first foster home and would prefer to have her people all to herself at this time. That may also be the mom hormones talking (you don't want other cats around your babies in case they hurt them) so that may change over time but for right now she would love to join your home as the solo queen and soak up all your attention. Milan has not been tested with dogs so at this time we recommend she go to a home without dogs. We think she would be tolerant of children with good cat manners as she was not afraid of a young child in the finders home and allowed her to pet her, but she has not lived with children in our care.

What a difference a month makes! Like a butterfly emerging, Mr. Withers is now showing his true colours! He arrived extremely timid, mostly hiding in his kennel in the bathtub! But it is now clear that a forever-home with humans who can be patient for about 4 weeks will have a true friend who loves to show affection, and who is respectful of his surroundings. By day he loves his various scratch posts and pads, lounges in the sun whenever he can, and enjoys a passionate game of catch the mouse. By night he will curl up on the couch with the human he adores and pretend to enjoy the evening news. Overnight he’s typically calm and accepts that he doesn’t get to come into the bedroom. In the morning he’s ready to greet his human with a gentle purr-meow combination, and lots of affection as he anticipates his favourite breakfast foods. He is obviously social, often wanting to be in the same room as his favorite human. He sometimes comes when you call, is highly motivated by yummy treats, and loves being petted and brushed. He has enjoyed hunting for treats hidden under empty standing toilet paper rolls. He responds well to being corrected when he jumps on something he shouldn’t. After spending over two months with this handsome ginger-coloured feline, it is clear that he can overcome adversity and adapt well to new surroundings. He is timid, but strong. His fear of new humans may persist, but his forever home family will be rewarded with his loving, easy-going disposition. Estimated time of birth is June 28, 2017.

Nika was born outdoors along with her siblings and does well with other cats, though strangers still spook her and she is initially fearful of people. After a few months to settle into her foster home she shows no fear toward her foster family and will follow on their heels at times. She is playful and is happy to play when the mood strikes, favouring wand toys she can chase. While she resists being picked up, she’s fine with being held as long as she can hold on and will happily purr if pet for reassurance. Nika is always excited for food and would do best without free-feeding to maintain a healthy weight, but she understands when it is time to be fed and is patient between meals. Once she is comfortable she loves being scratched on her shoulders/neck, cuddled, and enjoys watching birds on a screen or out a window. Her favourite daytime perch is the top of the cat tree so she can supervise the main floor, then at the end of the day she is glued to her foster mom’s lap on the couch. Nika’s current foster home is making progress in teaching her that humans are able to be trusted. It may take a couple months for her to become comfortable, but she is an affectionate cat once she is settled in. She will require a family that has the time and patience to work on her trust, and if children are in the home they should be older, cat savvy, and knowledgeable about respecting her boundaries while she settles into her new home. She is comfortable being an only-cat and would likely appreciate another cat to snuggle up with, though it’s unknown how she would react to a dog as she has yet to share her home with one. Estimated date of birth is November 21, 2018.

Nocturne is a bit of a black female cat stereotype ... in a good way. She's very sleek, meows quietly when she wants pets, confident, will reach out and pull a food bowl toward her and away from another cat, enjoys sitting in the sun on an incline cardbaord scratcher. She bonds well with other cats in her foster home, even having her favourites to nap and play with. She loves the human's bed and spends a lot of time lounging on it. Nocturne hides from new people but doesn't lack confidence with other felines. She maintains her boundaries and is good with sending out warning hisses to maintain her personal space. Nocturne is a bit of an instigator and enjoys stalking for play. She'll stalk and trip the back legs of a 'prey cat' like a wolf might do with a strong caribou. She loves to play with confident, friendly cats and as long as she has a good playmate, she doesn't bother the other cats too much who don't enjoy play-fighting as much as she does. She's also very athletic (fast, good jumper) so she enjoys runways and vertical space more than average. When she's on the ground it's mainly to lay in the sun. Most of her photos are with other cats because she's rarely alone! She really enjoys company for napping. Estimated date of birth is August 1, 2018.

Ogden is a handsome orange and white kitten. Although his eyes are still changing, it looks like he might have the same light green eyes as his mama Orleans. Ogden (aka Oggie) is a big and rambunctious kitten who looooves to play with toys and tackle his siblings, and come check in with his foster mom in between laps of his sprints around the room. He likes to be pet and flops down on his back for belly rubs and finger nibbling. When he is tuckered out he sometimes comes to his foster mom's lap and sometimes likes to have some alone time, so we are saying that he is a bit more on the independent side right now. He is a mama's boy so he may be more interested in cuddling with humans once he is on his own. Estimated date of birth is May 14, 2020

Orleans had a rough life on the streets before she came to SCAT. She was pregnant and her leg had fractured at some point and healed incorrectly. Despite all she’s been through she is super friendly and people-focused and never minded when humans would touch her kittens. In fact, she gave birth on the bed of the person that took her in! Orleans is a great mom to her kittens, she helped them become plump and upstanding feline members of society. (Well, mostly) She is practically still a kitten herself, and has recently discovered the joys of catnip toys she can sink her teeth into. Orleans talks a lot and has times where she is restless (but who wouldn’t be, being trapped In a room with her five demanding children?) but for the most part is a calm and gentle cat who loves to be pet and rub her face on your hands. She is confident with new people and places and settles in quickly. Her most endearing habit is that she likes to keep a paw placed on you when she is nearby. Orlean’s broken leg does not seem to bother her, other than she sometimes needs a bit of a boost to get to high places, so the decision was made to leave it be, rather than put her through a surgery and a long difficult healing time that would be hard for such a young and active cat to go through. Orleans has had brief interactions with the other cats in the house and seems good with them. She has not been around dogs but would likely be fine with a slow introduction. She should be fine with children too. Estimated date of birth is May 21, 2019

Pink is a lovely girl and a doppelganger of SCAT's Farrah, but about half the sass/attitude. She came from an Northern SPCA through a second chance fundraiser and is hoping to find her forever home here in the south! Though she was housed with other cats in the past she did have an incident with another cat in an adoptive home so the current recommendation is she be the only cat in the home, ideally with older children and no dogs. Estimated date of birth is November 15, 2018.

Pye is a calm cat that likes to sit by the fridge on the off chance you may walk by and feed him a treat. He is not fussy. He will take a piece of chicken, liver, beef, whatever you have! If you have food, Pye will stand on his back legs and grab your hand with his paw in order to help you! (Mostly without claws… ) Although cautious, he is referred to as “rafter kitty” as he has the ability to jump six feet straight into the air, grab a bit of traction on a post, and explore the rafters. He enjoys watching the mice and birds outside and loves to check out the sunroom for potential creatures. Pye hangs out in the sunny window, but after too much heat, he moves to the cat tower or the chair to cool off. He does not play much with toys, although he enjoys some honeysuckle or catnip. With guests, Pye tends to be on the periphery and if things become too loud or busy, he will exit downstairs to snuggle on the couch. Pye will join you in bed in the early mornings and have a cuddle and purr session. He does not often jump into your lap, however, you can pick him up, set him in your lap and have a purr session. He sometimes joins your lap in the hopes that the clock is wrong and you should be feeding him. He sometimes comes up to sit quietly beside you while watching TV. Pye hangs out with the other fosters, liking to groom them in the mass cat window snooze sessions. He has two lab pups that he keeps under control. A dog can be barking at the window and he will look, but not leave his sunny spot. As the labs tussle each other, he ignores them or moves to higher ground when they get too rambunctious. He is unsure about young children as they are big, move quickly and he has little experience in this area. We expect it would take Pye about a month to adjust to a new setting and it would be better to be a quieter home. (Cats/Dogs are ok, just not a lot of happy screaming kids racing around!) This cat has some unusual aspects. He doesn’t cover his kitty litter business. So, you may wish to clean it more often. He also has one eye that seeps a bit, but it is way better than before surgery. He can now see what is going on. Because he is an older stray, he has often foraged for his own meals. It is not unusual to see him on the counter, or perhaps on the floor with a prize. You should ensure everything on the counter is covered. He loves margarine, turkey necks, and pieces of meat. These have all gone “missing” at his foster home.. Pyewacket is a wonderful kitty that just wants a safe forever home that understands him.

Qusay is full of spunk. He likes to let you know when he is hungry or wants fresh water and likes to cuddle with stuffed animals. He is very gentle with kids and has grown to become very friendly with everyone. At first he may be timid and hide under beds and furniture, until he becomes familiar with his surroundings. Qusay had siblings and would likely adjust very well to other cats. He has not been exposed to dogs yet but would likely adjust fine due to his young age. Estimated date of birth March 11, 2020

Udo is a curious cat that loves to look out the window, sit on chairs, snuggle, and tip over his food bowl. He is most vocal when you first wake up in the morning and when you come in through the front door. He is most active and alert right after he wakes up from one of his daily naps. He does not get along with other animals (which may be why he lost the most part of his tail), so a one animal home is where he would have the most fun. Udo is super people-focused and just loves to be around humans as much as possible. His other favorite things to do are to sit in cardboard boxes and open cupboard doors. He has been good around kids with good cat-manners. Special needs: Udo takes two different daily medications that keep him healthy and happy. Estimated date of birth of Udo is January 23, 2011.

Veli and Vulcun came to their foster home afraid of any interaction with people. Over the past months they have warmed up considerably! They now seek out cuddles with their care givers and miss them when they are gone. They especially like to greet people at the bedroom door in the morning. They are still quite nervous of strangers however and prefer to watch from behind the couch. In their free time Veli and Vulcun like to chase kibbles. Veli prefers to bat them out of the air while Vulcun prefers the low pounce. In a pinch they’ll take kibbles out of their own bowl and bat them around. They are both quite well behaved gentlemen. They use the scratching post, not the furniture, leave the plants alone (unless they are truly tender and delicious), and left a fully decorated Christmas tree alone. Veli likes to be picked up now, and Vulcun prefers two handed belly rubs or brushes. Veli is more brave but wiggly, while Vulcun is more cautious but also more chill. They both like to push their head into your legs when they want to be pet. Veli and Vulcun are looking for a home together. Estimated date of birth is July 3, 2018.

This sweet little lady is a submissive timid cat that has made so many amazing leaps and bounds in socialization since being trapped with her kittens in May of 2019. Initially fearful of any human interaction she now seeks out attention from her foster & is quite comfortable living the pampered indoor kitty life. Wendolyn does not like being picked up & gets nervous with lots of movement, but she is happy, silly, loving, and very playful when she is confident in her environment. She is often found chasing her tail or tossing toys around the house. Wendolyn is highly interested in the other cats and lives with a couple of kitty friends and we think she would love a friendly feline buddy to keep her company during the day if her new forever home is away most of the day.

X-otica arrived with her two kittens after being rescued from some PVC pipe this spring….clearly no place for a family of three to be living! After receiving a clean bill of health, she has settled in nicely in her foster home. She is extremely affectionate and constantly rubs against her foster mom’s legs while her foster mom tries to work from her desk. She immediately starts purring when you pet her head and she will never turn down a belly rub! X-otica has great manners and has only jumped on furniture after being invited to do so. Although loud and sudden noises will cause her to lightly growl under her breath, it may be a reflex of trying to survive and care for her young while living on the street.

Meet Xavi, also known as Pudge. This little puff ball is adorable, loving, sweet as pie. He is adventurous (but sometimes needs to be rescued from how high he climbs), and loves to play, snuggle, and soak up all the human love and affection. He is practically perfect in every way! We did notice that when he was growing up with his siblings that he was lagging behind, we thought maybe he was just physically younger than his siblings (this happens sometimes), but after some blood work we found out that he is truly a special and unique little guy. SPECIAL NEEDS: Xavi has hypothyroidism and will require medication 2x a day for the remainder of his life, as well as yearly bloodwork to ensure his values are being managed by the medication. The estimated cost of the meds is $30 per month and the blood work would be about $150 per year. We are looking for a forever family for him that is able to make the financial and time commitment to ensure that he is properly medicated even if his owners are away (babysitters or boarding when away) and receives the regular vet care that he needs to live a happy and healthy life. Estimated date of birth is April 16, 2020.

Meet the very gorgeous Yorcat, he was found out of town in the middle of no where, he had been abandoned in a cat carrier and how long he had been there we don’t know, he some how escaped and was found close by terrified and very timid. He is a little skittish and definitely has an aversion to pet carrier and cages. However in a home environment he is a well behaved, playful and very friendly little guy. He is available for adoption and would make a very good buddy to pretty much any household, he gets on very well with the other cats in his foster home and loves their company.
